Dair Class 2024-2025

Dair class had a lovely trip to Fitzgerald Park on the 19th March. Here are some pictures below. The staff enjoyed it as much as the pupils! We also went over to Shakey Bridge!

Playground fun both at school and Mayfield Park!

Dair class trip to Blarney Castle. It was a great day out and a lot fun was had. Some pupils even got the gift of the gab by kissing the Blarney Stone!

Table Tennis fun! We aren’t competitive at all.

We work hard in Dair class! But we also know how to have fun! Athletics, cookery, eating pizza, having fun outdoors!

Dair had a busy first term in St Killian’s. It was very exciting to have our first secondary class in the school. They have been excellent role models for the younger pupils.

RAIN GARDEN PLANTER WORKSHOP

Cayden and Damian from Dair class participated in a rain garden planter workshop in the Glen Community Garden on Thursday, the 26th of September.

This workshop was organised by Julie and Barry.

A Rain Garden Planter is a planter which is watered by the run off from the roof gutters. This is a sustainable planting solution which helps reduce rainwater overflow into the drains and flooding in urban areas.

Mary, Stephen and the pupils in the Post Primary Dair class hope to bring the rain garden planter that we made in the workshop back to the school and set it up and plant it.

We hope to roll out this project and make many more rain garden planters over the course of the school year.
